I designed and sewed these boxy cropped tees, then dyed them with natural dyes that I foraged, grew, or bought. I then dipped the left side into an iron dye bath to "sadden" the color and create a perfectly imperfect colorblock.
Black Walnut is a light brown that saddened to a darker grey-brown.
Avocado is a dusty pink that saddened to a warm grey.
Onion Skin and Marigold is a bright sunshiney yellow that saddened to a vibrant brown.
Alkanet is a steely grey that didn't react much to the iron, and only saddened to a slightly warmer grey.
Queen Anne's Lace and Madder are a lovely muddled red that saddened to brown.
Each tee is slightly imperfect.
